Location & nature filming: 8K backplates, spaces and tourism
Commissioned filming for productions, spaces, hotels and destinations
Show a place in the way your project needs: as a believable film background, a striking landscape, a quiet visual atmosphere in a room or an invitation to visit a hotel. FF Pictures plans and produces location and nature footage with you, from the visual concept and shoot to suitable website, social media and display versions.

What imagery does your application need?
8K+ backplates for film and LED walls
You need a particular horizon, lighting atmosphere or location as a background. We plan high-resolution footage for compositing and LED surfaces, with suitable camera height, viewing direction, movement and enough image area for the agreed framing.
Tourism, hotels and architecture
What does a stay feel like? Landscape, arrival, exterior views, rooms, materials and views from inside tell the story together. For destinations, resorts, holiday properties and architectural projects, we develop a coherent shot sequence rather than a collection of unrelated images.
Atmosphere for shared spaces
A lobby, lounge, spa or reception area often needs a different sequence from an advertisement. Gentle camera work, appropriate duration and unobtrusive loop transitions are planned for the space. Sound, perceived brightness and playback are agreed for the use and screen.
Why commission a dedicated shoot? Existing stock footage may only partly fit when your own place, a particular season or your film set’s perspective needs to be recognisable. A planned shoot provides the viewpoints and matching shots you require. FF Pictures connects camera work with editing, colour grading and experience in high-resolution HDR playback, so that the images work in their intended setting.
What does 8K+ mean here? Capture at 8K or higher resolution can be planned for the project, providing room for large surfaces and reframing. Resolution does not replace suitable lenses, focus, perspective or careful delivery. We agree the useful resolution and actual delivery format for your application.
Perspective also matters for film backgrounds: a flat video backplate does not automatically reproduce spatial changes as the production camera moves. We establish with your team whether a defined viewpoint, several capture positions or a spatial approach is needed before shooting. For LED walls, we coordinate content, aspect ratio, player and camera use with the responsible team.
An example from the FF channel
Breath of the mountains: light transforms a landscape
This mountain timelapse from Zell am See was captured over approximately one hour of changing light. The source was recorded in 8K; the YouTube video is published as a 4K HLG HDR version. It shows how daylight, clouds and evening light give a fixed subject different characters.

For a commissioned film, we choose pacing, framing and finishing for your use. A display showcase can emphasise contrast and transitions, while a quiet room installation may benefit from longer shots and gentler changes.

From the desired image to a planned shoot
- Establish the purpose and subjects: what needs to be visible, for whom and where? We discuss style, locations, existing material and the versions required.
- Prepare the place and timing: sightlines, sunlight, season, access and required permissions belong in the shot plan. We agree suitable time windows and alternatives for weather-dependent subjects.
- Capture with a purpose: cameras, lenses, movement and crew are selected for the subject. Real-time footage, timelapses and detail shots are planned to work together in the finished sequence.
- Edit, finish and review: editing and colour grading connect the footage. Music, ambience, voice recording and sound mixing can be added as commissioned. Review versions support agreed decisions before final export.
You do not need to select camera equipment yourself. Describe the intended effect and use; we turn that into a capture plan and a clear scope of work.
Deliverables your team can use
We establish what you receive before starting: selected backplates, an edited film, room loops or short social media versions, for example. Duration, aspect ratios, SDR/HDR versions and file formats follow the destination channels. For an installation, testing on the agreed playback system can be included where required.
Usage rights, music, participants, filming permissions and any exclusivity are agreed for the assignment. Source footage and project files are additional deliverables to specify explicitly. If existing FF footage fits your purpose, we can also assess a footage licence as an alternative to a new shoot.
Which place would you like to bring to life?
Tell us the place or region, intended use, preferred season and schedule. For a room or LED wall, a photograph of the surface helps; for website and social media, start with the planned channels. We establish resolution, duration and delivery formats together.

Plan website and social media footage together
A wide landscape view alone does not tell visitors what they can experience on site. Details, pathways, room settings and short actions give a hotel or tourism film context. We plan the main film and short versions together so that the shoot also provides material for campaigns, reels and seasonal posts.
Landscape framing for a website and portrait framing for social media may need different shots. Important subjects, people and space for text are considered during capture. Each version can then have a suitable opening and a clear ending, rather than simply cropping the main film afterwards.
